Rakesh Singh has fought a number of cases having larger public & societal ramifications, which have been widely reported in the media.
He fought against the State of Maharashtra and BCCI and IPL against supply of water by State to Cricket Association when there was a paucity of water in Maharashtra. He was able to stop IPL in the State of Maharashtra as water was being routed from farmers to the game of cricket. His strategic intervention now allowed water to go back to the farmers, whose crops were dying due to the drought
Rakesh Singh also represented AAP and later Shiv Sena leaders against cutting of trees at Aarey. He was able to get a stay / injunction on cutting of trees till compliance as provided under the law by trees authority
He also is a founder and patron of the NGO – Bharat Utthan Sangh which focuses on Cleaning beaches in Mumbai, Education for Girl Children and Livelihood for Elderly Women
